SCOPE OF WORK:

SMUD is seeking a leased employee resource to support the Information Technology (IT) Department in providing scrum master services. The resource must be experienced to support the implementation of SMUD’s customer technology initiatives. The contractors will apply SAFe principles to organize work to deliver technology and enhance effective team performance. Each contractor will support up to three of SMUD’s agile teams. Contractors will lead scrum teams through all team ceremonies, participate in quarterly program increment planning and ensure delivery of high-quality technical solutions in accordance with SMUD’s polices and standards for technology development and change management. Contractors will also participate across the Agile community in scrum or scrum ceremonies and be able to represent the status of efforts and health of team.

Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)

  • Provide evidence of an active Scrum Master Certification, must include a copy of the certificate, the date achieved, date expires and agency/association that issued the certificate
  • Minimum three (3) years’ total experience as a scrum master for a scrum team within Scaled Agile Framework with a minimum of one (1) year of the total years of experience occurring within the past twenty-four (24) months. Provide title held while fulfilling the role of Scrum Master, the begin and end dates and Organization.
  • Within the past (24) months, resource must have a minimum of (1) year of experience in official role as a Scrum Master supporting the scrum team process and ceremonies by creating and managing Agile team backlog, sprint plans, roadmaps, story refinement and productivity reporting. Provide the begin and end dates and Organization.
  • Within the past (24) months, Contractor must have (1) year of experience using JIRA tool to support an agile team including types, closing sprints. Provide the beginning and end dates and Organization where JIRA was used.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Three (3) + years of demonstrated experience in servant leadership. List skills possessed that support servant leadership.
  • Electric utility experience in the role of scrum master. Provide the begin and end dates and Organization.
  • Three (3) + years of practicing Agile frameworks. Provide framework, beginning and end date and Company.
  • Three (3) + years of experience with prioritization of work within an agile team. Describe process used, begin and end dates and Company.creating user stories, tasks, linking various issue
